Information We Collect and What We Do With It

A. Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect personally identifiable information when you make a voluntary submission to the website or through other channels or means.  These voluntary submissions may include, but are not limited to, submissions to ask questions or provide comments to the staff at RPC, respond to surveys, text messages or emails, post blog comments, sign up for email newsletters, take part in contests or games, volunteer for engagements and provide feedback as applicable, register for events or other means.  RPC and its authorized agents only collect personally identifiable information when it is submitted by a user, and submission of personal information is voluntary. For example, we operate this site in conjunction with Fresh Batch Insights, LLC (“Fresh Batch”). Fresh Batch and other third parties, such as vendors who supply gifts or awards to minors and others, help us provide services offered on or through this site.  In some instances, these third parties may have access to personally identifiable information but they have agreed not to disclose your personal information for any purpose unrelated to providing the services offered on The Hangry Avocado.

RPC uses the information you provide to us at this site to enable us to communicate with you about the services offered on the site. For example, we may email you about upcoming engagements and other survey projects or to follow up with you in connection with past or future engagements.

B. Aggregated Tracking Information

RPC may track user traffic patterns throughout the site.  We may break down usage statistics according to parameters such as a user's domain name, browser type or MIME type.

RPC may track and catalog the search terms that users enter as search function(s) on the site.  We may use tracking information to determine which areas of the site users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas.  We may track what individual users read, and how well each page performs.  This helps us continue to build a better service for you.

Children

This site is not intended for children under the age of 13. RPC and its agents do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years old through this website. Minors under 18 years old must obtain permission from a parent or guardian before using this site or providing any information on this site, and the Parental Consent Form must be on file before any minor under 18 can participate in the engagements offered through the site. If a parent or guardian of a child under 13 believes that the child has provided any information to the site, the parent or guardian of that child should contact us at christy@freshbatchinsights.com if they want this information deleted from our files. If RPC learns that it has recoverable information in its files about a child under the age of 13, RPC will delete that information from its existing files.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

RPC may place a text file called a "cookie" or similar technology in the browser files of your computer.  The cookie itself does not contain personally identifiable information although it will enable us to relate your use of the site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided.  But the only personally identifiable information a cookie may contain is information you supply yourself.  A cookie or other technology that RPC places on your computer is not designed to read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.  RPC or its agents may use cookies to track user activity, traffic patterns (as described above), and to otherwise  conduct the engagements. The cookie may have device-specific tracking capability.

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser.  If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie.  You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the site.  However, you may need cookies to participate actively in purchasing, polling and surveys.

Posts

Information you post on or through any public areas of this website (e.g., the blog page) will be generally accessible to and may be collected or used by others.  We encourage you to be cautious when posting personal information in any public or interactive areas.

Links to Other Sites

RPC may provide links to other websites that operate independently of RPC and have established their own privacy policies.  RPC does not have any control over these sites’ privacy practices.  For the best online experience, we strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies at any site you visit before you visit that site.

Disclosure Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the right and may be forced to disclose your personally identifiable information to appropriate third parties if we believe that such action is necessary:

  • To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order or to otherwise comply with the law;

  • To share with domain administrators and our agents and other parties who assist us in fulfilling the engagement;

  • To protect the RPC's rights and property;

  • To investigate reports of fraud or of users sending material using a false e-mail address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;

  • To protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the site; or

  • During emergencies, such as when we believe someone's physical safety is at risk.
